Festival of Speed

15–18 July 2027 · Thursday to Sunday

The hill

1.16 miles

For the rest of the year it is a driveway through the Goodwood estate. Since 1993 it has been the hill: 1.16 miles past the front of Goodwood House, between straw bales and a flint wall, climbing about 93 metres.

Sunday afternoon

The Shoot-Out

Most runs up the hill are for show. The Timed Shoot-Out is not: the fastest cars of the weekend go up one at a time, slowest first, and whoever sets the best time is welcomed on to the balcony of Goodwood House.

2026 winner

41.97 seconds

Romain Dumas took the Ford Super Mustang Mach-E to the top in 41.97 seconds, his third Shoot-Out win in a row. Dan Ticktum, in the newly launched Formula E Gen4 car, had set the target at 42.46.

The record

39.08 seconds

The fastest run ever recorded on the hill: 39.08 seconds, set in 2022 by Max Chilton in the McMurtry Spéirling, an electric fan car that sucks itself to the road.

A companion or escort for the Goodwood Festival of Speed

Four days on the hill at Goodwood House, ending in Sunday’s Timed Shoot-Out. A long day outdoors, better shared. Tell us who you’d like beside you and we’ll see who we can find: male and female escorts and companions, for women and men. We don’t publish a list of people. We reply with options, then confirm every detail with you.

Goodwood Festival of Speed: the evening and the after-party

Goodwood is in the country: evenings are dinners in Chichester and the villages around it, and private parties on the estate. Invitations to private parties are the hosts’ to give; the table, the car and the company for the evening are ours to arrange.

The rest of the Goodwood Festival of Speed, arranged

The seats, a table for dinner before or after, somewhere to stay, getting there, and company for the evening. All of it, or just one part: pick the parts.
