What the eye misses

Light at a low angle finds the ridges of the brush, a network of cracks in old paint, a lifted flake.

Ultraviolet

Under the lamp

Old varnish glows a milky green; later retouching shows up dark. The committees are independent — academics, curators, conservators, scientists, scholars. Dealers no longer vote.

Over 260 dealers from some 20 countries. In 2026: 277 dealers, eight days, more than 50,000 visitors from 75 countries.
